Ranja Kamal was born in Zurich, Switzerland. She began acting at the age of five after appearing in several opera productions such as Luisa Miller, Hänsel & Gretel, Magic Flut or Othello. Her first acting job in a movie was in 2003, when she portrayed Hermine in a short film called "Magic Teachers".
