Mark Alton Rose was born September 18, 1961 in Newton, North Carolina. When the family moved to Carson City, Nevada in 1967, Mark's father became active in the local community theatre there, where Mark would hang out and watch from behind the scenes. Eventually, in 1975, Mark got up the nerve to get on stage himself and caught the acting bug.
