斯坦利·韦曼，Popular on both sides of the Atlantic, British author and playwright, Stanley John Weyman, was considered by many to be one of the best historical romance writers of his day. Some lamented the fact that in 1928 his death rated only scarce mention, at least in America, by the national press.
