Chelsea Spear was born and raised in Medford, Massachussetts. As of late 2005 she has directed three short films ("Alphabet", "The Hidden", and "The Unhappy Medium") and two installations ("Films About Water", which screened as part of the 2000 Terrastock music festival, and "Orangutan", a collaboration with Milwaukee Dance Theatre).
