Mick Curran played semni-pro baseball before joining a band while attending George Mason University. He started writing songs and had an initial songwriting contract with Acuff-Rose Publishing in Nashville. Mick went on to attend USC's graduate Cinema school and taught English and screenwriting as a lecturer.
