Guy Penrod grew up in Hobbs, New Mexico, where his father pastored a Baptist church. He graduated from Liberty University. He and his wife, Angie Clark, have 7 boys and 1 girl. They reside on a farm in Tennessee, and Penrod is a member of the Gaither Vocal Band, in addition to his solo singing career.
