Ahmad Zaman Chowdhury was born on 28 December, 1947 in Chandpur, East Bengal, British India (now Bangladesh). He completed his graduation and post graduation in University of Dhakastarted his career as Lecturer. Later he left the job and joined Weekly Chitrali Magazine as a film journalist.
