Montré Burton, a native of Norfolk, Virginia, is of African-America and Cuban decent and was raised by his grandparents, mother and aunt along with his five brothers and two sisters. He was a member of Bank Street Memorial Baptist Church, where he grew up performing in church every Sunday.
